We are homeschooling/unschooling four kids (14, 12, 9 & 6) and sometimes they get the "I wannas" about going to the local schools with the other kids in the neighborhood. It's not always easy to stand one's ground on the decision, but so far so good! They do learn all the time, and it is great to be able to follow their interest in a topic instead of a lesson plan. Our biggest hurdle was math - until we got them into the kitchen and involved with grocery shopping. Now they do fractions and more with ease, and when we say they're doing math they say "No, this is just cooking!" Good luck to you!!
